Amenities & Grounds
Jasper Gates Resort provides an outdoor fireplace, a picnic area, and a children's playground on its grounds. Guests have access to a minimarket on site for snacks and supplies, plus BBQ facilities for meal preparation. Free on-site parking is available, and the property is monitored by CCTV in common areas and outside the building.
Accommodations
The resort offers rustic log cabins and motel rooms, each fitted with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom with a shower. Certain units include a seating area for relaxation. Movie rentals are available from the office for in-room evening entertainment.
Location & Local Access
Situated at the base of a mountain and 60 km from the town of Jasper, the property is a 10-minute drive from Hinton for grocery and dining options. A brewery and restaurant called Folding Mountain Brewing is located next door, within walking distance. Guests can drive to the Miette Hotsprings area and many trail heads if the weather permits.
Outdoor & Recreation
The property includes on-site hiking trails that start from the campground, and a scenic walking trail is marked behind the tent sites. A community fire pit area is available for cabin guests, and they also allow guests to bring their own wood. Free firewood is offered during clearing work for new walking trails.
Family-Friendly Additions
Kids have access to a children's playground, a basketball court, and board games and puzzles in the lounge. The campground has a large DVD selection for rainy-day rentals, and the minimarket stocks candy and ice cream. A house cat named Pablo lives on the property and provides a cheerful presence for guests.
